Würzburg Transport

There are about 30 bus lines run by the companies WSB and NVG. Most of them start at the "Busbahnhof" at the main station. The bus network covers trips to regions around Würzburg as well.

With five tram lines, Würzburg has a very good tram network. The lines can be recognized by their different colours. Going by tram is a great chance to get a view of the city while you are travelling.

Of course, there are also bike rentals where it is possible to hire a bike. In addition, Würzburg's network of cycle tracks is quite extensive and good. Tours along the Main and the Romantic Road are really recommendable.


Quite a few companies offer boat trips on the river Main, for example to Veitshöchheim that is about 40 minutes away from Würzburg (by boat).
