Domschatzmuseum

This house where the Cathedral Treasury is exhibited was designed by the architect Balthasar Neumann. Garments of ministers as well as liturgical items of the bishops are shown here.

Grafeneckart

The Grafeneckart in the City Hall accommodates an exhibition of the destruction of the severe bombing in the Second World War on March 16th, 1945, when 5000 people died and Würzburg was destroyed to a large extent.

Mainfränkisches Museum

Mainfraenkisches Museum
 
Located at the Marienberg Fortress in a baroque arsenal, is the "Mainfränkisches Museum" with an exhibition of Franconian art including the largest collections of sculptures by Tilman Riemenschneider. In addition, there is an exhibition about the production of wine as well as porcelain, glass and furniture of baroque and rococo style.

Fürstenbaumuseum

In the "Fürstenbaumuseum" at the Marienberg Fortress, you have a look at the reconstructed apartments of Würzburg's prince-bishops and get an impression of how they lived. It also includes a treasury room as well as an exhibition of the history of Würburg.

Röntgen Memorial House
(Röntgen Gedächtnisstätte)

In the Röntgen Memorial House, the laboratory as well as the instruments of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen who discovered the X-ray in 1895 are displayed. For his discovery, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen received the Nobel Prize for physics in 1901 and therefore is Würzburg's most famous scientist.

Museum im Kulturspeicher

Opened in 2002 in a former corn loft at the old harbour (now called "Kulturspeicher"), this museum accommodates a collection of Franconian art from the 19th and 20th centuries as well as Peter C. Ruppert's important private collection of concrete art. In addition, there are carried out exhibitions regularly.

This University museum in the Residence of Würzburg contains antique works of art, a picture gallery as well as a graphic art.

Named after the Japanologist Philipp Franz von Siebold, this museum shows objects from his estate as well as temporary exhibitions.
